
Kim Goodman is the Founder and Principal Consultant of K.A. Community Consulting. She is a community development and planning leader with more than 25 years of experience across municipal government, higher education, environmental stewardship, and consulting. Her work spans strategic planning, parks and recreation administration, culture and community development, grant acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and implementation-focused planning.
Kim brings a blend of professional experience, sector leadership, and ongoing academic study to her consulting work. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Recreation and Leisure at the University of Waterloo, building on an Executive Diploma in Municipal Management from AMCTO, where she received the provincial Academic Excellence Award, and a diploma in Parks and Outdoor Recreation Technician from Sault College.
Before launching KACC, Kim held senior leadership roles in municipal government and the non-profit sector, including serving as Director of Community and Business Services and Community Emergency Management Coordinator for the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands. She also contributes to the field as a Program Coordinator and Part-Time Professor in Recreation and Leisure Services at Algonquin College, where she supports curriculum development, student learning, and sector-aligned education.
She is also actively involved in the sector through board and association leadership, including the Ontario Trails Council, the Rural Recreation Association, and the Lyndhurst, Seeleys Bay and Area Chamber of Commerce, and maintains professional connections with organizations such as Parks and Recreation Ontario and the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association.
Kim is known for her ability to build trust, bring people together, and translate complex information into clear, actionable strategies. Her approach is grounded in authenticity, collaboration, accessibility, and a strong belief that community planning should lead to practical results that improve quality of life.

Kevin Lee is a respected educator and recreation leader with more than 30 years of experience in public and private recreation, combining deep expertise in facility planning, service reviews, and governance with a strong track record in public engagement and community development.

Cara Lemkay is a recreation and community development professional with over 10 years of municipal experience, specializing in meaningful engagement, program and facility operations, and turning community input into practical, people-centred planning recommendations.
